Million bucks by 35: double $2000 – first trade is a bad one

I went ahead and bought 150 shares of TRGL and held them until today early trading. The U.S stock market opened about an hour ago minutes ago. Upon looking deeper into the company filing and other information I did not look at yesterday, I realize this stock is not good for my short term plan. I also realized that the graph was heading negative. Which means there is a lot of other information that I did not look deeply into. Even with all the research plus an analysis I got from VectorVest information database, I find this trade to be more riskier than I previously thought. So I caught my mistake and cut my loss. After selling it short with only a 6.45% loss, I watched it tumble down further on the negative. What did I switch to?

I bought 20 shares of Monsanto (NYSE: MON). I have watched this stock and the company for years. It is a solid company with a long positive history. Not only is it a good trade, if all else fail and I cannot make a chunk by shorting it, I will get a nice dividend from it. I am also watching Alcoa to see how it does in the next few days and weeks. It is down from it’s 52 week high of $17+ and it’s trading at a bit over $13.

I bought it months ago when it was trading at $11 or so and I own 30 shares of it but I want to add it to my day trading list as well. As of now I have about 5 stocks I have been following since the market went under. I hope to use them to double the $2000 I am trading with. Well, now it’s down a bit from that principle due to commission totaling $12 and the 6.45% loss from TRGL. I usually start negative and then I make an excellent choice. Last time I did this, my second trade brought in $900. My broker called me to congratulate me. Tune in to see if I can make the same thing happen again.

Good for you, you're becoming quite savvy! I've never had a solid grasp of the Stock Market/Trading Game.
