Paris – France, my first impression

I have been without internet because I have been on the road so I have not written in a few days. But I have internet now for awhile so I write more often about my experience here in Paris.

Excited and a bit unnerved I couldn’t wait to see what Paris had to offer. I have been dreaming of this day since I can remember. Paris, the city of romance, Paris, the city of beauty and magnificence, Paris, the city of long vacations and ………riots. What part of Paris would I see on my visit?

Well, I have seen another side of Paris that I did not know about; the kind side. Here is the plan I/we had made while I was in Korea so that you will better understand. While in Korea I met a few people that became my very good friends and with two of them, Korean and Irish, we planned on touring Europe together. The plan was for us to meet in Paris and go from there. Since my contract in Korea ended sooner, I told my friend Allan -the funny and uncouth friend of mine I wouldn’t have any other way, that I would go to New York then go to Paris first and he and the Korean friend (Sophia) of ours will meet me there. But while in New York enjoying my time in Manhattan, something amazing happened.

At the hostel I wrote about here:where is my linen? I met a family from Paris. They were visiting their son, Mehdi, and after introductions, we talked a little about why were there and what we were doing next. Upon telling them that I was on my way to Paris for vacation and to meet my friends, an invitation to stay with them was extended and goodness I could not refuse and why would I? Three days later I was on the plane to Paris with plans for the family to pick me up at the airport. Coincidence or what?

I have been at their house now for three days and my time here has been wonderful. The family has been so kind to me and have asked me to stay even longer, but that may not happen at this time because we have plans to go to Rome among other places in Europe. However, if that invitation stands after my adventures elsewhere, I will definitely return to Paris.

They have three cats, and four kids. The house is very roomy with two kitchens, and about 5-6 rooms plus sauna, and other fancies. I will post pictures about the house later; however see my pictures of my small excursion around town. Here they are Paris – my first photos
