Lisbon, Portugal - my first impression |

The first word that came to my mind was “wow”. I had been thinking about my next destination since I arrived in Paris. Spain was on the list along with other countries I will go to soon, but Portugal was a random, let’s go to Portugal sort of thing. I had never been there so I said why not? The next minute we where online searching last minute cheap tickets from Paris. And off we went since Allan said he had friends there. I have to say I was shocked when I landed in Lisbon, Portugal.

I have never seen a city more beautiful. It rivals number one spot with Sao Paulo as one of my favorite cities. It is full of artists, beautiful music and it is next to the coast. The beach was less than 30 minutes away from where we stayed. The weather was fantastic; it was not too hot and not too cold in the evenings. And being a food lover, I could not help but to search for the best place to eat. Believe me I was not dissapointed when we found a place. I had the best lamb meat I have had yet to date and it was only 13 euros. I have paid 20 euros plus for a meal in Paris and the quality in taste and presentation was not even close near in comparison. The waiters smiled, they helped you when you needed something explained, they brought things to you promptly and made you feel like you are the center of the world for eating at their restaurant.

We were going to go to Italy originally, but we could not come to an agreement. Plus from Italy I was going to go to Egypt, but the friend I was going to travel with had a change of plan because I didn’t hear from him. So that made our course a bit more flexible since the original plan had gotten a bit discombobulated. So, we made a new plan that took out some countries and added others. But since I am still in Paris and Sophia went back to Korea and Allan went home to Ireland, that leaves my next destination pretty open since I only have to consult myself and my bank account.
