The lack of love that pervades the world does not limit itself in any particular continent. It is sad to see where the world is heading in terms of human value; if we don’t do something only time will tell what will become of the human race. We have stopped caring for one another. We have placed obligations on love. We have and continue to look the other way when we see an unfortunate situation. What is wrong with the world? What is wrong with the human creature?
A wise-man (Neale Donald Walsch more recently) reminded me that, “the only problem with the world is a lack of love”. Why? Because love breeds tolerance and tolerance breeds patience. When you are patient with people it’s because you care about them; you care about what they want and desire in life. When you care for people, you don’t look to benefit from them. Although you always grow from each experience and situation in life, there are situations where you are the main source of that growth in the benefit of others. Strive to be that source every time and if everyone does the same, we can heal the world tomorrow.
Show the world the way through your actions. Whether you are showing someone a new way of doing something, providing a few words of inspiration or rescuing them from themselves, or from the obscurity of the world, you can and are that light that can bring them back from the depths the darkest hour. Even if you are only able to be that light for a short period of time. The small things matter whether we see them or not. A candle is better than no candle at all even though it eventually dies out. I think South Korea can be that candle to its brother on the North. South Korea can show and lead him to rise from the depths of his own obscurity, release its people from the captivity, and lead him by hand to an new era of brotherhood. The situation there is abysmal.
North Korea is the lost country. A country that the whole world has given up on even though they fear it to some respect. We fear what we don’t know. But I know this, the people are hurting in that country; it is crying for help and no one is bring the tissue to wipe its tears. Don’t children behave badly sometimes when they just want someone to show that they care? When they just want a little attention? Why does the entire world continue to look they other way? What the world doesn’t see is that what you ignore festers or dies out. In this case, I think it’s going to be the former. Why can’t we forgive and shed a little light in that dark hole of a country? Instead, we look the other way; after all, it’s not us.
It’s time for the world to wake up and realize that our neighbor is not just the guy living next door. Our “neighbor” is all over the world. Our neighbor is North Korea too. If we condone what is happening there today, what will we also allow to happen tomorrow? But then again I am not surprised that people are starving to death there. People are being killed for attempting to leave, there is no food, water, or shelter. There is no hope and God is nowhere. I am not surprised because we as a race allowed Hitler to murder millions not too long ago and some of us even agreed with him. Are we evolving or devolving? Sometimes I can’t tell.
Why has justice become a reaction rather than an action in the world we have created? America can only do so much to rid of the world of those who think they own others and can do with others as they please. But then again it’s so obvious that America too does not do anything that does not further its own interests one way or another. So who is going to take the stand this time? Who is going to say enough is enough?

In conversation with God, one can clearly realize the meaning and the importance of love. once dissected, broken down and understood, the word LOVE instantly means something quite different then what we initially thought the meaning to be. I totally agree that our neighbors are everyone across the globe. we are the God we seek after so aggressively. once that is realized, we are going to have a better world; that is if we do not destroy ourselves first. imagine what type of world we would have if everyone understood the law of love and lived their life accordingly? would North Korea be in the same state of mind? would America cast aside its ways? would you still take advantage of the unfortunate? well until then I can only monitor my own thoughts, words and actions. one love, one GOD to you all.
I can only imagine Carl. The world would definitely be different. But there is hope because many are becoming more aware; they are observing and not just seeing, they are hearing and not just listening. You can only speak and be your own truth and in doing so help others realize theirs – thus you being "a light unto the world".
