I would love a world without you,
by the typewriter where I am lost in memories
of a past I try to forget-
ripped pages and burnt edges of a diary,
written by the hands of Time and Truth;

I would love a world with you,
to keep me from the truth about my life.
to keep me from the fatherless house of childhood,
tears I suppress and pangs I try to deny
how far can I run? How can I hide from you?

I would love a world without you,
where I can immerse myself in the lyrics
sang by Hughes, Giovanni, Hayden and Dumbar,
and maybe have my name scribbled in pages of Time.

How can I live in a world with or without you,
where two loves cannot unite?
